In 1968, a small group of local snowmobile riders saw the need for an organized trail system and had a desire to socialize with other snowmobilers. They formed the Mystic Riders Snowmobile Club. The hard work and dedication to snowmobiling exhibited by the club founders thrives today with the 70+ families that make up the Mystic Riders.
In the early years, the narrow trails were groomed with a 1971 Polaris Voyager pulling an old bedspring.
Today, we operate 2 diesel powered Tucker Sno-Cat groomers that each pull a 20 foot leveling drag. Our 150 miles of wide, well-groomed trails provide an important link in the statewide Grant-In-Aid trail system.

As the quality of our trails grow, so does the need for financing this effort. This is accomplished by the Department of Natural Resources' Grant-In-Aid program in which snowmobile clubs are paid for grooming and maintaining the trails through snowmobile registration fees.
We realize the importance of our local trail system and the need to promote snowmobiling as a safe, fun form of recreation in order to preserve it for future generations. On our trail system we have set up the 911 Emergency Locator system. If you are lost or hurt, these signs will help emergency vehicles locate you.
We also team up with Thomas Sno Sports and offer 2 weekend sessions of Youth Snowmobile Safety Training to teach and promote safe riding to new riders.
